OUR CHARITY PARTNER

ABOUT ORBIS UK

Orbis is an international eye care charity that prevents and treats avoidable blindness and visual impairment in low-to-middle income countries. With their network of partners they mentor, train and inspire local teams to fight blindness in their own communities. They believe that no one should live a life of unnecessary blindness, simply because of where they were born.

They work where the need for eye care is greatest and where they can do the most good. In the last 32 years, they have conducted training projects in over 92 countries, over 78 with the Flying Eye Hospital. They always work closely with governments and health ministries to deliver quality eye care.

Tom Davies is a proud Ambassador of the charity.

"I love this charity because they train people to help those in need. Every penny donated has a multiplying effect as the Flying Eye Hospital they operate is also a fully-accredited teaching hospital. Everywhere it goes, it leaves lasting change by training, educating and distributing knowledge. Through this, and Orbis’s long-term programmes in-country, they mentor, train and inspire local teams to fight blindness in their own communities." -Tom Davies
